Rear Fender JB Weld Repair
I have a few more pictures to take ... the basic idea was to JB Wled a peice of sheet metal
under the cracked finder. The chromed fender is about 0.02 in thick and when I decided
to glue versu weld as the welding would be difficult with the thin material. I cut a peice of 1/16"
sheet to fit over the cut and bent and hammered it to fit the inside of the fender.
I glued and clamped the piece in place and drilled holes where needed. Then I wire wheeled the inside
of the fender and applied three coats of primer and two coats of Plasti-Dip. I used some chrome
spary paint to touch up the outside of the fender where things showed through.
